Carney Pools is tucked away in the heart of Staffordshire near to Wolsleley Bridge and a short distance from Cannock Chase.
Access to the site is via Bishton Lane which is accessed from the A51 at Wolseley Bridge, between Rugeley and Weston and about 8 miles from Stafford.
From the Wolseley Bridge roundabout and junction, proceed over Wolseley bridge towards Colwich on the A51, then 200 metres after the bridge turn right into Bishton Lane, stay on Bishton Lane at the crossroads with Bellamour Lane, continue for 300-400 metres and turn right immediately after crossing the railway bridge (sign posted Bishton Farm Lane), then proceed along the lane, the entrance gates to the site are about 300 metres from the bridge. Along the lane there are regular signs saying Carney Pools to re-assure you that you are heading in the right direction. Sat Nav reading for the site is ST18 0XE, do follow the signs in the lane as some Sat Navs take you to the wrong destination!
